Moshe Feldenkrais-Biography

During the 1960's his fame began to spread:  arts programs began to invite him regularly for presentations; people from around the world began bringing their disabled loved ones to him in Israel. After his book, Awareness Though Movement was published in 1969, he began to have extensive series of workshops in North America, culminating in the first American training program that began in 1975. A second program started in 1980. Leading scientists at that time participated in his training programs , showing to the students how the ideas of Dr. Feldenkrais connected with their special interest areas.

A more detailed biography of Dr. Moshé Feldenkrais is from Chapter 5 of Norman Doidges' book, The Brain's Way of Healing, on the website of Salon.com with the title, “She will dance at her wedding”: Healing the girl born without part of her brain.
